The Odin Deluxe Review | Program Realistic Sounding Guitars WITHOUT KONTAKT
Thank you!
I think the Tiny Terror sounds awesome, definitely more of an old school crunch vs the 6505MH sounds more modern.
IF you wanna hear how this pickup sounds acoustic /watch?v=1vVGXPxKE9Y
Nice video bro, greetings from Durban, that's what the original intention was for the metal zone
okay review but everytime I hear that mongoloid accent I automatically deduct 20 points from the IQ.
im confused where do u plug in ur guitar if the pedal is in the return?
You can get the same sound through the front if dialed in right. I had a friend that was using it, I went over his house while he was playing, and he was complaining about not being able to make it sound good. I showed him my settings, and he was blown away.
I've had one of these for the last 18 of like 30 years playing. It's my only pedal. You people need to get your ears cleaned something. 95% of people that hate it just jumped on a band wagon cause some stupid-ass said it sounded bad.
Sounds excellent. I just bought a emg 60-7x to put in the bridge of my baritone 7, hoping it inspires me 😊
How to use it "properly"? In WHO'S opinion? I have this pedal, I have it in the INPUT of my 100watt Head and it sounds awesome, if you run it into the PreAmp you can ONLY use the EQ's on the pedal, if you run it into the INPUT you also have the EQ's of the Amp How to use it properly is YOUR opinion
first one sounded so much better lol
Wow, I never ever imagined Boss pedals can perform even without input pluged in!
There are better settings on the MZ that what was played here. Nice review though thanks
Is it possible to insert third party IR on it?
Turn the guitar up! All I hear is kick drum! I like it though, just louder guitar track!
wow good sound
In my humble opinion- Pedals like the Metal Zone (I love mine) with a little compression/reverb and maybe a light double or chorus (I use a TC Plethora X5) and something like a Duncan PoweStsge power amp and a good cab make for a solid, reliable, and affordable jam session or gig setup that's a lot of fun to play through. I have a few different dirt and boost boxes I switch between depending on the session I'm going to. For my own stuff though, it's the original MT-2.
U must understand to use , MT2 is Distortion and TS9 for Up booster from distortion pedal,. Try input the metalzone + Ts9 = nice
There are 4 ways of using this pedal: 1) straight after another pedal OUT 2) in amps fx return or 3) putting any overdrives in the pedals LOOP or 4) putting an amp in the pedals LOOP.
how is the clean tone on this in comparison to the 6505+
can we use this for home karaoke? I need reverb and delay FX. Thanks
With that much gaining distortion you can’t tell a difference at all. Maybe if you’re using instruments to measure the difference, you can capture it. I think when you get to this point you should just play your guitar and stop worrying about the boss pedal. 🎶✌️
I tried DS-1 with my strat, connected after my Rat and it did suck the tone. Sound of Rat got more flat and covered with a blanket
Great amazing sound even with the guitars unplugged!
It sounds better because it has less mid punch Depends the sound you are looking for
that clean channel tone is actually fire
Even your little patch cables will "suck tone" but hey, what?, are you not going to use those either? Maybe some folks should just go with a GX100 or something digital like that if the inherent problems of a pedalboard are going to nag them so much. Boss doesn't usually release way sub par untested junk either. The NS-2 may not be tested to be "perfect" for every rig situation but of course you need to understand how to properly maximize its utility before you unjustly crap on it.
It sounded the exact same with both examples?
Try running it in the effects loop send and return on clean channel with an eq pedal either in loop or out front
What the song in 0:59? Beauty melody!
U can also use it through the whole FX loop with activated Clean Channel. So you dont have to replug cables when u wanna use the amps PreAmp.
I’m sure you could get those pickups into Death Metal territory if you used enough gain. My Randall RG80 is able to push the EMG H4 bridge pickup in my Jackson King V KEXT pretty hard to get some really sick heavy Thrash tones, i wouldn’t doubt that you’d need a really good boost but I figure that a really good boost is all you need at the end of the day.
am i the only one likes it on the clean channel?
I bet it would sound good if you plugged the metal zone directly into your interface, and use an impulse to make it sound like a real amp.
How does it sound playing guitar on it?
is it possible to play it with punk ?
Heigth? Pickup
Any tone it takes in the high end is noise you probably don’t want tbh
They sound almost the same. They both sound great but I actually prefer the first. It feels more in my face
Вот именно так он и звучит
Amazing demo track!
I prefer the first one for some reason. You can almost feel the chugs. However I wonder how ass it would be to mix with vocals
hello
Tone is such a subjective thing, there’s no good or bad, just whether it suits the music you’re playing or if it suits your personal preference
A teenager with free tools can get HUGE tone that walks all over some of the most classic metal albums of the past. What a time to be alive!
🙆🙆🙆🙆🙆😔😔😔😔😔😔
It sounds good as a preamp but that’s not what it was designed for. The manual and history mentions nothing of the sort. As Bob Ross said, happy accidents.
Nice one dude! I been looking for a vid to get me up and running right. Tried it and sounded like ass. Hope i can see what I messed with settings
Can't seem to get OUR cab any more, keeps throwing me to a 404 :(
Total Reaper noob here and your info got me up and recording. Thanks man !
